Someone I know wrote in his blog about his near-car accident experience. And at the end of it he said, "By the grace of God I am still alive."
What is this? Is being alive on Earth better than being dead but standing next to God in heaven? If dying to the Christians meant going back to be with God, why don't you want to go? Why are you so glad for being alive? You know this could mean God doesn't want you by his side. He's just making sure you stay alive to go through all the sufferings humans have to face.
They always have to eat their words. I can tell you more but I'm too lazy to think.

Hi,
Probably, when that person mentioned 'By the grace of God I am still alive' in that context, maybe he is trying to say that he is grateful to God that he didn't die horribly in a car accident. I'm sure all of us know that someday we are going to die but I'm sure we do not want to die in a car accident, murdered by someone, etc. I'm sure most of us just want to die while sleeping peacefully.
Although I know that going back to heaven is better than staying alive on Earth and all our sufferings will end instantly in heaven, but you must understand that all of us have loved ones who are still on Earth. Being still alive on Earth is indeed a blessing because we all will still have the opportunity to spend time with and to be with our loved ones. Hence, being alive is still a blessing!
I agree with you when you mentioned that it is better to be in heaven than on Earth. But that doesn't mean, to remain alive on Earth is totally a bad thing.
Hmm, a comment longer than the blog entry.... I don't think I've ever seen that before, heh.
Seeing as no one has ever been to heaven, that uncertainty makes for a huge mind job. You can't blame someone for being afraid of dying even if he believes that it's suppose to be better to be in Heaven than here.
JC - Hahahah! It's been some time since I laughed that loud reading comments!
Ronald - Seeing your long comment, I thought I just got bombarded by a devoted Christian. I'm afraid you've missed my point, but good thing you did.
Arthur - You missed my point too. I think I have problems conveying messages effectively.
Haha... what do you want me to say? That God has another purpose for me that's why he didn't take me yet? :p
Well...
